External Course Listings
The Professional Development Bulletin includes listings for courses and workshops hosted by external providers across Canada. These independent listings offer RMTs the opportunity to explore evidence-based topics within, or complementary to, the scope of massage therapy.
How it Works
Approved listings reach the RMTAO’s network via:
- The Upcoming Courses and Events Calendar: Featured alongside association-hosted education.Â
- The Friday File: Included in our weekly e-newsletter sent to the RMTAO network.Â
Listing requirements
To maintain a high standard of relevance for the RMT community, all submissions must meet the following criteria:
- Scope:Â Topics must be within or complementary to the scope of massage therapy.Â
- Evidence-Based:Â Courses must focus on evidence-based topics led by presenters with proven experience.Â
- Specifics:Â Each listing must be for a specific course with a defined date and time.Â
Before You Submit
To ensure your listing is approved, please verify it meets the following criteria:
- Evidence-Based Scope: Topics must be evidence-based and fall within (or be complementary to) the scope of massage therapy.
- Presenter Bio: You must include a biography detailing the presenter’s proven expertise in the topic.
- One Course Per Submission: Each listing is for one (1) specific course with a defined date and time. (A single course spanning multiple days is accepted; submissions for two or more distinct courses will be rejected and refunded.)
- Cost:Â Member rate: $130 + HST; Non-member rate: $150 + HST.
Review & Approval Process
- Payment & Review:Â Submissions are reviewed after payment is received in full.Â
- Timeline:Â Please allow two (2) business days for review. You will receive an approval notification via email.Â
- Modifications:Â The RMTAO may seek clarification or require changes during review. All listings are subject to final approval; if a listing is not approved, a full refund will be issued.
